Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the SchoolPayr platform (“Service”), provided by [Your Business Name] (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using SchoolPayr, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Service.

1-Definitions

  • “User”: Refers to any individual or organisation accessing or using the Service.
  • “Platform”: Refers to the SchoolPayr website, application, or associated plugins.
  • “Content”: Refers to any materials, data, or information provided through the Platform.

2- Use of the Service

Eligibility

  • To use the Service, you must be the legal age of majority in your country of residence, as required by most payment provider agreements. If you are not of the legal age of majority, you are not permitted to access or use the Website or the Products.
  • SchoolPayr is designed for PTAs, schools, and parents for managing payments and related activities. This does not exclude other types of users and uses.

User Accounts

  • Users must create an account to access certain features of the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and to update it as necessary.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorised purposes.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Platform.
  • Upload or share content that infringes intellectual property rights or contains harmful code.

3- Payments and Fee

Transaction Processing

  • SchoolPayr facilitates payment processing using integrated payment providers.
  • By using the Service, you authorise SchoolPayr and its payment partners to process transactions on your behalf.

Fees

  • SchoolPayr’s fees are 3% for each transaction, excluding the fees charged by payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, and others.

  • Users are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds for transactions. Any bank or processing fees incurred due to insufficient funds are the User’s responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that by using Our Products and pursuant to the terms of the agreement you have with Your payment provider, You authorise and expressly permit Us to instruct Your payment service provider to deduct from Your transaction and remit to Us the fees or other amounts owed to Us under the User Terms. To facilitate such payments, you authorise Us to share relevant information about Your business, School or PTA and use of Our Products with Your payment provider, including transaction-related information. In the event Your payment provider is unable to deduct the fees and other amounts owed to Us, We may bill You directly for such amounts. You may be responsible for any applicable fees or other charges related to Our Products if the amount of funds payable to You by Your customers after payment settlement is insufficient to cover Our fees or other amounts owed to Us.
You understand that We are not responsible for fees charged by payment processors (including PayPal, Square, Stripe, Rapyd, RazorPay) and We have no involvement in setting or administering charges related to merchant services. You may experience chargebacks like with any electronic payment.
We reserve the right to update, change, and add fees associated with Our Products at any point given email notice of changes to You.

Refunds and Chargebacks

  • Refund policies are determined by the PTA or school issuing the payment request. SchoolPayr does not manage refunds directly.
  • Chargeback disputes must be raised with your payment provider. Users may be liable for any fees associated with chargebacks.

4- Use of Google Sheets API and OAuth

SchoolPayr uses Google OAuth 2.0 protocol for secure authentication and the Google Sheets API to provide specific functionalities. By granting access, you allow us to:

  • Authenticate your identity: Using Google OAuth, we collect your email address to facilitate secure access to your account.

  • Access Google Sheets Data: Read and write access is used solely to manage payment-related data, such as:

    • Add-On Installer Email Address and Locale.

    • Google Form Submitter Email Address: Used to send payment requests.

    • Google Form ID, Title, and Description Attributes: Used for checkout pages.

    • Google Form Submission Fields: Only monetary values are used to calculate amounts due.

    • Google Form Theme Settings: Used to style the checkout.

    • Google Sheets READ/WRITE Access: To add and update payment fields.

    • Google Drive Metadata READ Access: To allow users to select recent forms for import.

SchoolPayr complies with Google’s API Services User Data Policy, ensuring data is only used for stated purposes and not shared with third parties for advertising or unrelated services. Users can revoke access at any time by visiting https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5- Liability and Disclaimers

No Warranty

  • The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  • We make no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability to any User shall not exceed the total fees paid by the User in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Third-Party Services

SchoolPayr integrates with third-party payment processors. We are not responsible for the actions, errors, or omissions of these providers

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, governmental actions, or network failures.

6- Privacy and Data Protection

  • We collect, store, and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Users agree to our handling of data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
  • We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorised access.

Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. Users may request data deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7- Intellectual Property

  • All content and materials on the Platform, including logos, designs, and software, are owned by or licensed to us.
  • Users may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without prior written permission.

8- Modifications to the Service and Terms

  • We may update or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
  • These Terms may be updated periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or a notice on the Platform.
  • Continued use of the Service after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9- Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate User accounts at our discretion for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
  • Upon termination, access to the Service will cease, but certain provisions (e.g., liability disclaimers, intellectual property rights) will remain in effect.

10- Complaints and Dispute Resolution

  • Users may contact us at Team@schoolpayr.co.uk to file complaints. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably.
  • If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be subject to the laws and courts of England and Wales.

11- Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
  • Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
